Donde fue tomada: Cerca al Portachuelo de Llanganuco al Km. 38 de la Carretera Yungay-Llanganuco-Yanama, aproximadamente en el mismo lugar que la foto en la página 17.

Where it was taken: Near the Portachuelo (pass) de Llanganuco at about Km. 38 of the Yungay-Llanganuco-Yanama highway. Near the same spot as the photo on page 17.

Como llegar: Una carretera mal mantenida asciende 26 km. desde Yungay (56 km. al norte de Huaraz por la carretera principal) a las Lagunas Llanganuco. Después de pasar las laguna asciende en zigzag hasta el Portachuelo de Llanganuco. La foto fue tomada cerca al abra.

How to get there: From Yungay (56 km. north of Huaraz), 33 km. up the rocky road past the Lagunas Llanganuco, then up the southern side of the canyon in a long series of switchbacks to the pass. The photo is taken near the pass.
